This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SunSun HW-505A or HW-505B external canister filter. Designed for optimal aquarium water purification, these filters feature a multi-stage filtration system and an integrated water pump. The HW-505B model also includes a UV germicidal lamp for enhanced water clarity and pathogen control. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and efficient operation.

- Always unplug the filter from the power outlet before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when handling the unit.
- Ensure your hands are dry when plugging or unplugging the unit to prevent electrical shock.

6. سيٽ اپ ۽ تنصيب
Follow these steps to properly set up your external canister filter:
- Prepare Filter Media: Open the filter head by unbuckling the side clips (22). Remove the media trays (8) and rinse any new filter media (sponges, ceramic rings, carbon, etc.) thoroughly under tap water to remove dust. Arrange the media in the trays according to your desired filtration stages (mechanical, biological, chemical).
- پمپ گڏ ڪرڻ: The water pump (12) is designed for internal placement within the filter body. Ensure it is securely fitted into its designated slot.

- Assemble Inlet/Outlet Pipework: Connect the various pipe sections (9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21) using the right-angle connectors (16) and connection tubes (11, 13) to form the inlet and outlet pipe assemblies. The inlet pipe (14) typically includes a strainer, and the outlet pipe (21) can be a spray bar (17) or a single outlet nozzle.
- Install in Aquarium: Place the assembled inlet and outlet pipework inside your aquarium. Use the suction cups (20) and clamps (10, 19) to secure them firmly to the aquarium glass. Ensure the inlet strainer is positioned to draw water from the lower part of the tank, and the outlet provides good water circulation.
- Position Filter: Place the filter body on a stable, level surface below the aquarium. The filter operates by gravity feed, so it must be lower than the water level in the tank.
- Connect Hoses to Aquarium Pipework: Connect the free ends of the hoses from the filter head to the corresponding inlet and outlet pipework in the aquarium. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

You may need to manually fill the filter canister with water or use a priming button/lever if available (refer to specific model features). Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of your filter and the health of your aquarium.

- Remove and clean the pump impeller (12) and its housing.
