Operating Instructions: Monitor Calibration
The Spyder2 Express software guides you through a straightforward calibration process. For optimal results, perform calibration in a room with consistent ambient lighting, ideally dim or dark.
- Launch the Software:
Open the Spyder2 Express application from your desktop or applications folder.
- Follow On-Screen Wizard:
The software will present a step-by-step wizard. You will be prompted to select your display type (CRT, LCD, or Laptop).
- Position the Colorimeter:
Place the Spyder2 Express device directly onto your monitor screen at the designated area indicated by the software. Ensure it lies flat against the screen. For LCDs, avoid using suction cups if they could damage the screen. The device often includes a counterweight to help it stay in place.
