4.1 کولڻ
Carefully remove the machine from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or transport. Ensure all accessories listed in the packing list are present.
4.2 پاور ڪنيڪشن

- Pull the thread through the tension spring and into the thread guide.

4.3.3 Upper Threading

- Follow the numbered threading path indicated on the machine, guiding the thread through all guides and tension discs.
- Bring the thread down through the take-up lever.

- Pull the bobbin thread up through the needle plate hole by turning the handwheel towards you to lower and raise the needle.
4.4 Needle Installation

- Insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back of the machine, pushing it up as far as it will go.

The Janome HD 718 offers 18 different stitches. To select a stitch, turn the stitch selection dial (refer to Figure 3.1) to the desired stitch number. The machine also indicates the recommended presser foot for each stitch.
5.2 Adjusting Stitch Length and Width
Use the stitch length and width adjustment dials, located on the top front of the machine (refer to Figure 3.1), to fine-tune your stitches. Adjustments should be made according to the fabric type and desired stitch appearance.
5.3 Thread Tension Adjustment
The thread tension dial controls the balance between the upper and lower threads. Adjust as needed to achieve a balanced stitch where neither thread is pulling through to the opposite side of the fabric.
5.4 One-Step Automatic Buttonhole
To create a buttonhole:
- Attach the automatic buttonhole foot.
- Place the button you are using into the buttonhole foot's holder.
- Select the buttonhole stitch on the stitch selection dial.

- Begin sewing. The machine will automatically sew the buttonhole to the correct size.
