Follow these steps to replace your pool filter cartridge:

- Tears, rips, or damage to the filter pleats.
- Dull or cloudy pool water despite proper chemical balance and pump operation.
- Reduced water flow from return jets.
Typically, single cartridge pool filters should be replaced every 6-12 months, while filters with multiple cartridges may last up to 3 years, depending on usage and maintenance.
