This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Datalogic Powerscan M8500 Barcode Scanner and its associated USB Wireless Cradle. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper functionality and to prevent damage.

- Do not expose the scanner or cradle to extreme temperatures, moisture, or direct sunlight.

- Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the USB port on the Datalogic Wireless Cradle.

2. Pairing the Scanner
The scanner and cradle are typically pre-paired. If pairing is required:
- Ensure the cradle is connected and powered.
- Place the scanner into the cradle. The scanner should emit a beep or flash an indicator light to confirm connection.
- If the scanner does not pair automatically, refer to the Datalogic Powerscan M8500 Advanced Configuration Guide for specific pairing barcode sequences.

To charge the scanner, simply place it into the connected cradle. The scanner's charging indicator light will show its charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.

- Ensure the scanner is charged and paired with its cradle.

Indicator Lights and Sounds
The scanner and cradle use various indicator lights and audible signals to communicate status:
- Green Light/Single Beep: Successful scan.
- Red Light/Multiple Beeps: Scan error or battery low.
- Flashing Light (Scanner): Searching for cradle connection.
- Solid Light (Cradle): Powered on and connected.
