4.1 Unfolding and Stabilizing the Trainer
To prepare the trainer for use, unfold the support legs. Press and rotate the lock buckle outwards to release the legs. Once unfolded, rotate each leg to adjust the angle and ensure stability. Tighten the locking nut on each leg to secure the height and prevent wobbling.

4.2 Bike Frame Compatibility and Adapter Installation
The T3 trainer supports both Thru-Axle and Quick Release bike frames. Before proceeding, identify your bike's frame type.

4.2.1 Thru-Axle Frame Installation
The T3 trainer comes pre-installed with a thru-axle adapter (default opening 142mm). If your bike requires a different size (e.g., 148mm for mountain bikes), ensure the correct fitting slot faces outward when inserting the adapter. Use a 6mm hex key (not provided) to remove your bike's thru-axle. Shift the rear derailleur to the smallest cog and lift the rear wheel to remove it. Insert the hydraulic disc brake protector into the rear brake caliper to prevent accidental brake activation. Align the chain with the trainer's smallest cog and install the thru-axle, pressing against the opposite side of the rear fork to ensure it is securely locked. Shake the frame to confirm full lock.

4.2.2 Quick Release Frame Installation
If your bike uses a quick release skewer, you will need to replace the pre-installed thru-axle adapter on the trainer. Use the provided 17mm wrench to loosen and remove the thru-axle adapter. Remove the quick release adapter from the other side. The quick release adapter has two openings (130mm for rim brakes, 135mm for disc brakes); ensure the corresponding slot faces outward when inserting. Twist to insert and use the provided 5mm Allen key to tighten. Loosen your bike's quick release skewer. Shift the rear derailleur to the smallest cog and lift the rear wheel to remove it. Insert the hydraulic disc brake protector into the rear brake caliper. Align the chain with the trainer's smallest cog and install the quick release skewer, ensuring it's correctly seated on the axle. Tighten the quick release skewer. Shake the frame to confirm full lock.

4.3 Front Wheel Positioning
To prevent wear on the cushioning mat and ensure stability, it is recommended to position the front wheel away from the crease of the shock-absorbing pad.
5. Operating the Trainer with the CYCPLUS App
The CYCPLUS T3 trainer is fully compatible with the CYCPLUS app, allowing for smart control and personalized training. The app supports T2/T3 cycling trainers.

5.2 Adjusting Trainer Parameters (Settings)
Within the app, navigate to the "Settings" section to adjust various parameters for a more personalized and realistic training experience:
- Body Weight & Rider Weight: Adjust these parameters to simulate realistic climbing resistance based on your weight and bike weight. Higher values increase resistance.
- Chain Drive Coefficient: Adjust this to match the trainer's displayed power data with your power meter data. Lowering the value increases displayed power, raising it decreases displayed power. The default is 97%, accounting for typical chain transmission loss.
- Downhill Coefficient: Simulates the effect of downhill cycling. A higher value results in a lighter pedaling feel on descents, while a lower value makes it heavier.
- Power Smoothing: Turning this on reduces power fluctuations in ERG mode and helps better match target power in trainer workout courses.
5.3 Resetting Personal Data
To reset your personal mileage and duration data within the app, connect to the cycling trainer, then click on "Data" -> "Reset" -> "Start". Note that the system's cumulative mileage cannot be reset, but you can zero out your personal data before starting new training sessions.
5.4 Exercise Mode
To enter exercise mode, click the bicycle icon in the upper right corner of the app. In this mode, you can train with fixed power or fixed gradient by sliding the respective controls. Default gradient setting range is 0-20%, and power setting range is 50-500W.
