1. Select a location on an inside wall, approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters) above the floor, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources.
2. Separate the thermostat from its base. Most models have a tab or latch at the bottom that allows the front cover to be removed.
3. Position the thermostat base against the wall and mark the mounting holes.
4. Drill pilot holes if necessary and secure the base to the wall using the provided screws.
