- Avoid splitting knotty or excessively hard wood, as this can strain the machine and cause kickback.

4.2 Splitting Process
- With the log securely in place, simultaneously press the motor button and pull the hydraulic lever.
- The hydraulic ram will extend, pushing the log against the steel wedge and splitting it.
- Once the log is split, release both controls. The ram will automatically retract to its starting position.
- Repeat the process for remaining logs.

4.3 Optimizing Splitting
- For shorter logs, the ram can be adjusted to reduce travel distance, improving efficiency.
- If a log does not split completely on the first pass, reposition it or try splitting from a different angle.
