DRILLING HOLE IN THE DOOR

NOTE: Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate, or install the product.

• Do not use an electric screwdriver; only hand-tighten screws with Philips head screwdriver. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN SCREWS.
• If your door has pre-drilled holes, skip to step ‘3c’.
• Mark the door for Drilling.
• Start 36″ from the floor. Fold and apply the template to the high edge of the door.
• Mark the center hole on the door face through the guide on the template for 2-3/8″ (60 mm) or 2-3/4″ (70 mm) backset.

• Drill 2-1 /8″ hole through door face as marked for lockset.
•  Drill a 1″ hole in the center of the door edge for the latch.
• Marking the jamb hole Location.
• Insert the latch in the hole, keeping it parallel to the face of the door. Mark the outline and remove the latch.
• Chisel 1 /8″ deep or until latch face is flush with door edge.
• Insert the latch and tighten the screws.
• NOTE: For the latch unit, drill the indicated hole in the template and press the face of the latch until it is flush with the edge of the door.

Install the deadbolt strike plate into the door Frame.
NOTE: If the hole is pre-dri/led, skip to step ‘4d’

• Mark the template from the edge of the jamb and locate the strike opening.
• Drill 1 ” hole in 1-3/16″ deep in doorjamb on center line of screvvs.
• Outline outside edges of strike. Chisel 1/6″deep for strike or until flush.
• Install strike and tighten screws ( 3/4• (19mm) Screws ).

ADJUSTING DEADBOLT LATCH SET

• To convert from 2-3/8″ (60mm) backset to 2-3/4″ (70mm) backset.
• a. Hold latch with numbers facing forward and thumb pressing on the bolt (Figure la and Figure 1b)-
• b. Rotate the cylinder cover clockwise (Figure 10,
• c. Pull and twist the extension plate all the way out (Figure ld).
• d. Rotate the cylinder cover counterclockwise so that the marking aligns with the 2-3/4″ (70mm) position indicator (Figure le).

NOTE: Do not extend cylindrical cover past 2-3/4″ (70mm)

To convert from 2-3/4″ (70mm) backset to 2-3/8″ (60mm) backset. 2

• a. Hold the latch with numbers facing forward and thumb pressing on the bolt(Figure la and Figure 1b).
• b. Rotate the cylinder cover clockwise (Figure lc),
• c. Push and twist the extension plate all the way in (Figure ld).
• d. Rotate the cylinder cover counterclockwise so that the marking aligns with the 2-3/8″ (60mm) position indicator (Figure 2e).

IINSTALLING DEADBOLT LATCH SET:

Installing the deadbolt latch set (need phillips head screwdriver)

• a. Insert Deadbolt Latch Set into door edge hole with the word “UP” and the arrow on the extension plate facing UP Cross cross-shaped spindle connector will be at the bottom Of the Deadbolt Latch Set (Figure 3a).
• b. Make sure the face plate sits flush with the door Do not force the latch into the mortise flush. Chisel out excess material if necessary for a flush fit
• c. Using two 3/4″ (19mm). screws provided, screw the latch into the door with a handheld screwdriver. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

NOTE: Deadbolt Latch must be retracted when installing (3d).

• a. If the hinges are on the left, your door is left-handed (Figure 4a & 4b)
• b. If the hinges are on the right your door is right-handed (Figure 4a & 4b).
• NOTE: You are standing outside the door.

PREPARING THE INTERIOR ASSEMBLY:

Unpack the interior assembly.

• a. Remove the battery cover by sliding the cover upward.
• b. Locate the screws holding the Mounting Plate to the Interior Assembly. Remove the screws to re/ease the Mounting Plate from the Interior Assembly.

Set the entry switch for left or right-handed down

• a. Gently move the switch to “L” for Left Handed Door (Figure 6a).
• b. Gently move the Switch to “R” for right-handed door (figure 6b)-

Set the interior knob position for left or right-hand-hinged doors.

• a. The Interior Knob goes in the Horizontal position for Left Handed Doors (Figure 7a),
• b. The Interior Knob goes in the Vertical position for Handed Doors (Figure 7b).
• NOTE: Deadbolt Latch must be retracted (3d).

IINSTALLING EXTERIOR ASSEMBLY:

• Installing the exterior assembly. Work with the Door Open for easy access.
• a. Unpack the Exterior Assembly. Use care not to scratch the green circuit board.

• c. Insert the Exterior Assembly onto the door with the tail piece going through the Deadbolt Latch Set cross-shaped spindle connector in the VERTICAL POSITION, Route the Control Wire through the door over the Deadbolt Latch Set (Figure 8c).
• NOTE: Tail piece must be positioned vertically.

Securing the exterior assembly to the door.

• a. From the side marked “This side against door”, route the Control Wire through the rectangular slot in the Mounting Plate rectangular slot in the the Mounting Plate (Figure 9a-f),
• b. Place Mounting Aate against the door with the tailpiece passing through the center hole in the three-hole set (Figure 9a-f)-
• c. Secure the Mounting Plate to the Exterior Assembly using two T- 1/8″ (28mm) Screws.
• d. Hand tighten with a Phillips Head Screwdriver, leaving loosely connected(Figure 9a-f).

• f. Check vertical alignment of the lock (Figure 9a-f).
• g. Tighten securely with a hand-held Phillips Head Screwdriver. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN (Figure 9a-f),

• a. Using a 1/16″ (2mm) drill bit, drill a pilot hole in your door using the Mounting Aate upper hole as a guide (Figure 10a).
• b. Insert one 3/4″ (T 9mm) screw and tighten.

NOTE: Lock and unlock using the key to see if the Deadbolt Latch is opening and closing easily.

Attach the control wire to the interior assembly.

• a. Use care to attach the Control Wire male plug to the Interior Assembly female socket connector (Figure 11a-d).
• b. Do not force the Control Wire male plug into the Interior Assembly female socket connector (Figure 11a-d).
• c. The control Wire male plug has two alignment tabs on the smooth side of the plug, which is the top of the plug (Figure 11a-d).
• d. The control wire male plug is inserted with the smooth side up into the interior assembly female socket connector (Figure 11a-d).

Attach the interior assembly to the door.

• a. Position the Interior Assembly over the tailpiece and push the Interior Assembly against the door (Figure 12a-b),
• b. Using two 5/16″ (8mm) screvvs and one 25mm screw, attach the Interior Assembly to the Mounting Plate- DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS (Figure 12a-bJ
• NOTE: Lock and unlock using the Interior Knob to see if the latch is opening and closing easily.

• a. Insert 4 AA high-quality Alkaline batteries into the Battery Compartment in the direction noted +/- on the Compartment.
• The Lock will beep 2 times, the keypad will illuminate blue, and the Light Indicator will flash green twice to signify that it has received power (Figure 13a),

NOTE: DO not touch the Keypad until the blue light turns off. DO NOT use rechargeable batteries or non-alkaline batteries.

• Vacation Mode (Additional Function).
  With Vacation mode enabled, the system enters low-consumption mode. During this mode, all
  buttons and functions includina the remote control will be invalid until they are re-enab/ed
  • Enable: PC- - 10-1- With one beep and green light-Enabled/ed, then lock the door.
  • Disable: Press the Unlock button for more than 3 seconds, and then enter the PIN to unlock the door. Vacation
    mode disabled.

NOTE: If you only press the unlock button for more than 3 seconds, but without the PC, the system will keep running under vacation mode

• Restore factory settings (Once restored, you will have PC:123456, Initial pass code: 1234, All other User codes or Remotes will be invalid). Remove one battery, wait for 10 seconds, reinstall the battery, once you hear one long beep and one short beep, and press the lock button 3 times within 3 seconds. One beep and the light indicator illuminates green. MESSAGE GUIDE
• گھٽ- Voltage warning: Once the battery voltage is lower than 4.8V, the beeper and red light flash for 5 seconds
• (Now the lock can also be used several times,s but needs to replace the batteries soon, otherwise when the battery goes to super low voltage, lock/un/ock will not be valid)

• a) After inputting the correct code, press s open button , 4 beeps plus red flash 4 times, cannot unlock the door. (Must change the batteries; otherwise, cannot unlock the door).

• Correct operation: One beep and the light indicator illuminates green. • 4) Incorrect operation: 2 beeps with red light.
• Lock error. 3 Long beeps plus red light flashes, • 6) Repeat lock error. 6 short beeps plus red light flashes.
• 4 incorrect code entry attempts, Alarm sound plus red light. The keypad will be out of service within 60 seconds.

مسئلو حل ڪرڻ

• Latch Working Backwards; Lock unlocks when the lock button is pushed or locks when the unlock button or code is pushed.
• The direction switch is set to an incorrect setting.
• Remove the Interior Assembly and Remove the Interior Assembly and move the switch to the opposite direction. Check that your switch is set in the correct position, Left or right-handed door.
• If Correct: Rotate the Interior Knob and reinstall the Interior Assembly. Retest again while holding the Assembly in place.The
• Interior Knob will not turn; the Knob or vertical tailpiece is installed in the incorrect position. Remove the Interior Assembly and reposition the Interior Knob, with the Deadbolt Latch retracted is vertical.

• Check that the Control Wire is attached to the Interior Assembly.
• The lock gives an error signal when opening or locking and the Deadbolt Latch will not extend or  retract completely when door is closed.
• Unlock the door using the Key or the Interior Knob. While the door is open, check that the Deadbolt Latch operates smoothly. Check for proper alignment of the strike plate, adjust as needed to assure there is no binding against the Deadbolt Latch.
• Deadbolt Latch is sticking; the Installation screws of the lock may be too tight and have to be loosened. • Remove Interior Assembly. • Slightly loosen the Mounting Plate screws. • Lock and unlock using the Key. • Reattach Control Wire and
  Interior Assembly.
